DSA
provides various facilities for those people who have
additional requirements like extra time, voiceover, foreign
language, translator etc. |
|
You need to
request the special facilities at the time of booking
itself. |
|
|
|
Facilities
for those whose first language is not English : |
|
If you
don’t understand English or you cannot read or write
English, you can request for a voiceover which is available
on one of the 21 languages. A voice over allows to hear the
theory test questions through the headphones. You can
answer the questions by touching the computer screen text.
You can hear the questions as many as time as you want. |

Foreign language voiceovers are available in the following
languages: |

Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Dari, English, Farsi,
Gujarati, Hindi, Kashmiri, Kurdish, Mirpuri, Polish,
Portuguese, Punjabi, Pushto, Spanish, Tamil, Turkish, Urdu,
Welsh |

Facilities
for those with Reading difficulties : |
|
|
If you have
reading difficulty you can request for English or welsh
voiceover. You can also request for double time for test.
But if you did that, you need to give proof of your reading
disability. |

Facilities
for those with hearing difficulties : |
|
|
If you are
having reading difficulties you can request for the theory
test in British sign language (BSL). There is no extra fee for this facility. |
|
|
Translator : |
|
|
If there is no voiceover provided in language you want.
you can request to have a translator assisted theory test. |
|
It is your
responsibility to arrange a test date with the translator
and to pay any fees involved. |
|
|
Other special
requirement : |
|
|
If you have a
special need that is not met by the facilities above, you
can contact the theory test customer services section who
can discuss your requirements and the facilities available. |
