Driving theory test is the part of driving test in which the learner driver must know the overall theory concept of driving. To understand the overall theory test about driving learner need to take a quick glance about driving theory test.
Driving theory test depends upon the vehicle that the learner driver has selected for the test. The new driver can take the theory test as car theory test and motorcycle theory test. The theory test has two elements one is multiple choice questions and another one is a hazard perception test. Both the tests have its own importance in driving theory test and accompanied in the same driving test center. It is very important to pass both the test to get the pass certificate number to book the practical test.
The theory test changes came into existence from 23rd January 2012 but the pattern of the theory test is same. The learners just have to read and understand the theory concept rather than memorizing like a parrot and forgetting after the exam. These changes were made by the Driving Standard Agency and the main motive was to make the learner to improve the driving skills in theory and to understand the concept of driving theory test.
Multiple choice questions are taken in the touch screen computer where learner driver has to answer the question by clicking on the mouse button to get the correct answers. The multiple choice questions are asked in the exam as per the vehicle category selected by the candidates. The learners just need to find the correct answers to get the scores. The total questions asked in the exam are 50 in which the learners need to score minimum 43 marks to pass the multiple choice questions. The 57 minutes will be given to complete the test.
The hazard perception test is the second elements of the theory test and must be passed with the multiple choice questions. The learner cannot escape from the hazard perception test. Both marks are taken into consideration and accordingly result is declared. The hazard perception test is based on the road hazard videos in which the learner has to identify the potential hazard turning into real hazard. There are 14 hazard video clips with 15 developing hazards. The each clip represents for one minute each and score for particular clip is 5 marks. The learner needs to score 44 marks out of 75 marks.
Before appearing for the test the learner need to understand, practice and practice to pass the theory test. To revise the theory once again in the short period of time the learner should not forget to take a quick glance about driving theory test.
